Mr Attaf participates in the opening ceremony of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting

The minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, participated on Wednesday, in Kuala Lumpur, in the opening ceremony of the 58th Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which will see Algeria's accession to the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation of this regional organization.
The opening ceremony was marked by the presence of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, whose country holds the rotating presidency of ASEAN for 2025.
In this regard, the Minister of State met with the Malaysian Prime Minister, to whom he transmitted the greetings of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as well as his will to work, in concert with him, for the strengthening of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, on the bilaFor his part, the Malaysian Prime Minister welcomed Algeria's accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), at the moment when his country holds the presidency of ASEAN and charged Minister Ahmed Attaf to transmit his greetings to the President of the Republic, affirming to him his commitment to work, jointly with him, for the development of partnership relations between Algeria and Malaysia, at different levels.teral level or within the framework of the partnership linking Algeria to ASEAN.
