The Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Malaysia, H.E. Abdelhafid Bounour, received today, at his residence in Kuala Lumpur, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Malaysia, H.E. Adnan Muhalhal Al-Maajoun, on the occasion of the commencement of his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to Malaysia.

During the meeting, congratulations and best wishes for success were exchanged on the occasion of the newly appointed Iraqi Ambassador taking up his duties. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two Embassies, as well as to further consultation and coordination among Arab diplomatic missions in Malaysia, contributing to strengthening joint Arab action and further developing Arab–Malaysian relations.
