Mr. Attaf arrives in Kuala Lumpur

Upon the President of the Republic's request, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, arrived this morning in Kuala Lumpur on an official mission to the sisterly state of Malaysia.

This visit is part of the Minister of State's participation in the signing ceremony of Algeria's accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, scheduled to take place tomorrow as part of the 58th session of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Foreign Ministers' Meeting.

During his stay in Kuala Lumpur, Minister Ahmed Attaf will discuss with the Malaysian Foreign Minister ways to strengthen partnership and cooperation relations between the two countries. He is also expected to hold bilateral talks with the Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and a number of foreign ministers participating in the work of this regional organization
