Mr. Chaib, accompanied by the Minister of National Education and the Minister of Youth, launched educational and pedagogical classes for the children of the national community abroad.

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, today presided over the official launch ceremony of educational and training programs for the children of the Algerian community abroad, at the "Mohand Mekhbi" Mathematics High School in Algiers. This initiative is part of the 2026 summer program and was launched in the presence of the Minister of National Education, Mr. Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui, and the Minister of Youth, Mr. Mustapha Haidaoui.

In his address, the Secretary of State explained that the launch of this first edition of the program, an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Ministry of National Education and with the participation of the Ministry of Youth, is in line with the directives of the country's highest authorities. These directives aim to strengthen the connection of the younger generations of the Algerian community abroad with their homeland, particularly by utilizing their time in Algeria during the summer season with purposeful educational and cultural programs.

In this context, he indicated that the program will run during July and August 2026, covering fourteen (14) provinces in its first edition, with its scope to be gradually expanded in subsequent sessions. He also noted the significant interest this initiative has garnered since its announcement, considering it an indication of the growing interest of the Algerian community abroad in such programs, which necessitates further development and enhancement in the future. He emphasized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' commitment to launching practical initiatives that respond to the aspirations of members of our community abroad and strengthen their attachment to national identity.

The Secretary of State affirmed that all human and material resources have been mobilized to ensure the success of this initiative, according to a comprehensive program that combines educational, pedagogical, and cultural dimensions, thus providing participants with the opportunity to learn about their country's history, its cultural heritage, and the foundations of its national identity and authentic values.
